Thai Ladyboys: Definition, Famous Figures, and Beauty Pageants in Thailand

Thai ladyboys, also known as ‘kathoey,’ are well-known for their beauty and charm.  In Thailand, they are widely accepted and can be seen in various industries, from entertainment to beauty and even working in everyday jobs.

Many tourists are fascinated by their elegance and confidence, and they are often featured in popular shows and performances, especially in tourist areas like Pattaya and Bangkok. While they face challenges and some societal stigma, Thailand is still more open and accepting of ladyboys compared to many other countries.
